What is the DRVN founding member batch?
It's the first commercial batch of DRVN Threshold. We've been making DRVN in small custom batches for local fighters and coaches for a while now, and enough people asked where they could buy it that we decided to release it properly. The first run is 250 units, and everyone who buys from it is a founding member.
Why is the first batch discounted?
Full price is £18.95. Founding members pay £13.25 — 30% off, on this batch only.
We're confident in the formula, but we want honest feedback on flavour, mixability and packaging before we commit to a full production run. The discount is our side of that deal. You'll be emailed a short feedback form — it takes about two minutes, and what comes back shapes the full range.
Why only 250 units?
It's small enough that we can stand behind the quality of every single pouch, and small enough that we can read and respond to every piece of feedback. Once they're gone, this batch is gone.
What's actually in DRVN?
Each serving has 30g of dual-source carbs (maltodextrin + fructose), 1000mg sodium, 400mg potassium, and 200mg magnesium, plus citrate and malate salts that buffer acid build-up during hard training and support your body's energy cycle. Doses are set to match what you actually lose through sweat, not a token amount.
Why this amount of electrolytes?
The electrolyte doses are based on current research of average electrolyte contents in a litre of sweat, so 1 dose of DRVN replaces what the average person loses in an hour of hard training. Magnesium is a bit different, you don't lose much magnesium in sweat, but 200 mg is a meaningful dose on your workout days.
Why does DRVN have carbs in it?
During high-intensity training your body relies on rapid carbohydrate metabolism, not fat-burning, to sustain output. Carbs taken during exercise are used for fuel immediately rather than stored — a very different picture to carbs eaten at rest. They also help pull fluid into the body faster alongside sodium.
Will the carbs upset my stomach?
Unlikely. DRVN uses a deliberately conservative 30g carb dose, well below the 60–90g doses common in products designed for long-distance running and cycling. Higher doses like that carry a real risk of tummy upset, particularly in more dynamic, high-intensity sports. The dual maltodextrin-fructose blend is also chosen specifically to reduce that risk further.
How do I use it?
Mix one scoop with 1000ml of water and drink throughout your session.
Rehydrating after a weigh-in? Don't guess it — use the Fight Week Rehydration Calculator to get a full timed drinking plan built from your own cut.
How many servings should I take per session?
Usually 1–2, depending on how long you're training, how salty a sweater you are, and your individual sweat rate. Use the Sweat Rate Calculator to work out your own number and get a session-specific recommendation.
Is DRVN good for weight cuts?
Yes — it's ideal for rehydrating after a weight cut. The sodium and carbohydrate combination pulls fluid back into the body faster than water alone, which is exactly what you need in the narrow window between weigh-in and competing. See the Fight Week Rehydration Calculator for a full timed plan based on your own cut.
Postage & delivery
Postage is calculated at checkout based on your delivery address.
Where do you deliver?
UK delivery only for now. We're a small founding batch and want to get UK fulfilment right before expanding further.
Will there be more flavours or sizes?
Fresh Citrus is the only flavour in this first batch. Feedback from founding members will shape which flavours and pack sizes make it into the full range — there are questions in the form to gauge exactly that.
What happens after the 250 units sell out?
This batch won't be restocked at this price. Founding members will get a lifelong 5% discount as a thank you. Sign up to our email list on the Founding Members page to hear when the full range launches.
What's the shelf life?
12 months unopened and sealed.
How should I store it?
Somewhere cool, dry, and dark. Avoid direct sunlight and damp conditions.
Who makes DRVN?
DRVN was founded by me, Garrett, a vet working in emergency medicine and a lifelong combat sports athlete based in Cornwall.
I am passionate about using the most current research and evidence and applying it to my training and supplementation to be able to get the most out of the time I have available for training while juggling a busy job and lively family life.
While there are some really great products out there, there are unfortunately loads that just do not make sense-they have just enough of an ingredient to make a label claim, but not enough to do anything, or they put in things where the timing does not make sense, or the research is poor.
I can find this very frustrating as I am a data driven science nerd, and as my work has given me a real passion for manging hydration, blood volume and electrolyte balance in my patients where only interventions that actually work are used.
Training for my first kickboxing fight, I couldn't find a research based product built for genuinely high-intensity sessions — so I built one myself, then worked with a formulation team to bring it to production.
